Human faces in the Mandelbox

Hey everyone!

I just wonder if anyone found human like shapes in the mandelbulb/mandelbox?
In a hybrid box I found a whole field of human head like shapes!!
And they are all smiling...    (except one)

Does it mean something?
How the heck is it even possible???
Or maybe I just spent too much time with this program? lol

The last one is especially nice in my opinion, however I see no faces [at least no human ones, I kind of see a cave troll.]  Maybe you should go outside.  Or maybe I should.

i don't really see the faces (almost), but each person's brain is uniquely 'tuned' to recognize various form combinations as face-like.
To get a universally recongizable face-form the important parts are symmetry and ratio. If you have any two same size objects aligned horizontally at the top 3/4 inside an object roughly 4x the size, it looks like a head with 2 eyes. Add a curve or even a line (or anything) below that and it's automatically a mouth. As long at the elements have the right symmetry and proportions.

and one that appears distinctly humanoid.


i wish i knew more about these images. i found them online in 1998 and the site is looong gone. Neat experiments in deep zooms of differently constructed wada basins, and finding many organic forms.

Hi all
Nice fun idea for a thread!
I found the face of the Mandelbulb Queen in the middle of this detail of a mandelbulb made with Visions of Chaos...



Unfortunately I couldn't get any closer the shape transforms and the face disappears when you zoom in.

What is freaky is that the Queen appeared in a zoom into this image, which I had called the Mandelbulb King:

Power 8 that queen find is very interesting!
I found that too, if I zoom closer to the faces then its became less recognizable.

BrutalToad and Miqel its surprising you dont see it, yeah each brain is different.
