Awesome pics and awesome blues. . But sorry in the most recent pic the dark areas destroy everything. . .

Must be your monitor. I can see structure everywhere but in a thin ring around the colorful little disk in the center, and bright colors in most of that last image.

And here's another.

Is the next one still rendering? It's been quite a while.

Less than half done ... for various reasons (mainly so many pixels need subdividing for the AA in this one) it's taking a while. It will be another few days. Sorry.

A look at the center tells me that this is the 4-armed version of the other picture you titled "Virulent Violet Virion" which was very heavy to render, so this one is probably even more intricate. Can't wait!

The current one is about 4/5 done now.

We seem to have reached the zoom level where the tendrils are so fine that we can't really see them anymore. I still like the way it looks, though.

We seem to have reached the zoom level where the tendrils are so fine that even with adaptive AA it takes forever to render.

Thanks! Just don't hold your breath waiting for the next one. It'll be comparably slow, most likely.

Ah, sparser structures that, with adaptive AA, render quicker again.
