I don't know if you'll go all the way there, but I can't wait to see what the result was of zooming into that peanut rather than staying in the center. It's probably a really cool stack of those "Radiolarian" things conforming to an array of peanuts. It'd probably be hellish to render though, given how long it took to render those two earlier ones. Great job!

post 166 is a real beauty. I've never managed to get anything like it. It must be buried somewhere in this thread and I will find it eventually: the twist that made those "bar" like islands land in between the peanuts at the outer perimeter and the swirly core. Stunning.

That was from zooming into one spiral of a quadruple spiral way back near the very beginning (images 8-9); the first "bar" island shows up promptly (image 13); then later zooming into a spiral attached to one of a ring of 8 bar things (images 29-31). Stunning. Thanks!
