i am having a lot of fun exploring the possibility of the lighting effects , with different position and maps (some examples here http://www.flickriver.com/photos/photocomix-mandala/sets/72157629044576809/ and are all raw parameters embedded in the images ) but now i see that maps are limited to 250 would be possible remove that limitation ? I just finished to convert in map my favorite gimp gradient and patterns but now i see i can't try all because the 250 limit

You can not "remove" it; trust on Jesse's mystic mental powers, he is always "improving the perfection" and ... One day it will be fixed if possible

One day it will be fixed if possible Oh yes i was sure that "I" can't remove it! my hope is that would be not too hard for Jesse modify in a future version Also i got the feeling that the limitation exist just because a limit has to be set,( a bit as default must be set in most program with a gui ) and 250 may sound reasonable if nobody ask for more...but could be even 2500 or what else (i suppose if was a problem of memory the limit would be set for map file sizes , that instead is unlimited, and not for quantity ) So hoping that would be no more complex to modify then a default or a hardcoded value i posted this hoping to get the attention of Jesse (just to let know that somebody would really appreciate the change ) (btw i would like share my new maps but then where you would put some hundreds of maps ? )

Sorry I'm not Jesse,
...but, if you must have lots more maps, why not just point the program to different folders? That way you can extend the limit to as many folders as you can make. (Ok, only 250 at a time)
I thought 150 was going to be enough when I offered my 1st batch out of the 700+ I had.
...but when you get to see what some can do, I guess there's always room for more.

yes thank for the suggestion i already did something alike when i did the maps well i grouped for category to reduce the mess but each set need instead to be various
Again i can well deal with it but my hope is that can be modified by Jesse easily when she will release a future version...is so fun play with light even more nice that can be done so quickly, with the effect applied on the images in real time...if i render took 2 hours then i may well spend 10 minutes to explore with different lights and to save the most interesting !...and the option to save parameter+png is really handy
thank a lot to have created this fantastic program !

The limnitation was because of the lighting file format that has not much room for further storings. I had to change nearly all file format saving+loading when making it bigger, plus all bugfixing, testing stuff and so on. So i could maybe get some bits out of the 3 doubles used for every light to store the position or vector, then i can use them for having 16 bits for lightmap numbering. Not really very problematic, just have so many other things i wanted to do too. Beside that i still think that if you keep only the ones you really use, 255 would be still enough

i see.. i was also impressed that i could use as map quite gigantic files (i try one about 1600x1200 just by curiosity ) even if is that is apparently no much useful (map of more reasonable size seems more effective )
thank for clearing and yes for sure is not a priority and with 250 maps there is still a lot to play

Hy maybe i had a nice idea ! would be possible allow to rotate (of multiple of 90°) and/or flip the map ?
so even with the limit of 255 the possibility will be multiplied (at least for not symmetrical maps)

Lenord requested it too, so i did it not only for you If you need flipped versions, you could make them now with a number +10000 by yourself.

Hi together,
is it possible to save the result of an animation only in m3p-Files. I need the parameters of the pictures between the keyframes.
have a nice day JoaGoo

Good question, but I don't think that's possible. You will have to manually find the interpolated params, and I agree this can be difficult if the 2 keyframes differ a lot, especially in terms of camera position.
