I have put together a web page for the Mandelbox, it is here http://sites.google.com/site/mandelboxIt is a way to group some images and videos together with an explanation, so it doesn't all get lost among the topics and galleries on this forum. Do feel free to make suggestions, I've never made web pages before And thanks to those that have let me reference their excellent images or work!

I would suggest creating thumbnail images of all of your rendered fractals, and then have those link to the full size version/s. You could even do the same for video, just showing a single small frame that would lead to the actual animation. Your page would load much quicker, and allow you to display many examples per web page.

Looks great! Nice collection of shots (I feel like I've seen them before...) Since Google Sites only has 100MB, you might need to hotlink the pictures to fractalforums instead. I've got a coupon for 100$ of free advertising, nothing to advertise... maybe it'll be worth getting to word out about the Mandelbox! I also see a couple of layout issues... you might want to try rearranging the pictures. Or you can just give me admin.

hi there, nice site, 100 mb is fairly enough for a large collection of images
and you are adressing a problem that tickles me the whole time ...
valuable information, or artistic images somehow get lost during the time ...
i would find it interesting to post more information on the subjects, e.g. the originating thread, or post, when it was published on fractalforums ...
and to the backlinking: foreign servers backlinging only images with no reference to the linked sites is always evil, but just for PR, i have an unlimited download bandwith, and 10gb of webspace available so, it is not really a problem, and it is stated on the page that fractalforums.com exists, so i am fine with it !

Thanks for the suggestions, I will link to the originating post, and think I can do the thumbnail thing, but may do that if the number of images gets larger. Just want to keep the web page as a taster, then link to e.g. fractal forums gallery for more images. It might be odd to advertise a web page that doesn't sell anything, I don't know... definitely no problem if you want to give it a go Timeroot, let me know
Does anyone use ChaosPro to render Mandelboxes? And do they have a link to the formula that they use? If so I can add that to the 'how to make your own pictures' options.

I *think* you should be able to import my MMFwip3D formula into ChaosPro - ChaosPro apparently has some native Mandelbulb support but I'm not sure about Mandelboxes.

I *think* you should be able to import my MMFwip3D formula into ChaosPro - ChaosPro apparently has some native Mandelbulb support but I'm not sure about Mandelboxes. It has native support for any 3D type - it was built for quaternions, but you can write any 3D fractal that way. I once tried importing MMF3D, and it was sooo biiiggg that the program actually crashed. I think native code would be better...
