The radiography was an accident smiley I don't know exactly where the strange outside effect comes from. Probably a matter of clipping + camera distance + the "Use Genetics" coloring mode in David Makin's formula (which is the same as the wood-like effect in Desert flyover). I found the concept nice, so I tried to adjust other parameters and colors to finally make it look like more or less a radiography. Actually I had called it X-ray because when I was zooming in I found a place which looked like a skeleton and a skull.

I don't like to concentrate too long on a fractal as it would be necessary for the contest and to compete with the most beautiful renders from you guys (Jesse, Buddhi, Tglad...) So I continue as usual to post my pictures and I will submit some of them, amongst the latest, before the deadline. Take it like a poll smiley

i would vote to bann you from the contest before its to late  grin grin grin

Just joking, for my first contest i take it easy

Incredible Bib  shocked  shocked  shocked
My favourite is the oyster, it looks incredibly real. The desert flyover would be a feast for people who are into sacred symbols  evil, interesting fractal borders, quite mandelbrot-like.
And the atomic springs is crazy  alien see how each box has little teeth at the top and bottom.. my guess is that they are more tiny springs.

The Mandelbox hotel

Great depth-of-field effect!
