Hi,
I tried M3D years ago, and haven't been here in a long time, but decided it was time to learn Mandelbulb.

I'm using M3D 1.9.1, and only see 6 m3p's in the dropdown list, though there are many more in
the M3Parameters folder (?)

Also, there's an icon to open hidden m3f's......"Right Click on formula to change its status"....

But when I right click, it appears to be in Chinese (?)

My goal is to create an awesome mesh (obj) using M3D VoxelStack, clean it up in ZBrush, and import it into VUE for a SciFi scene.  smiley

You must adjust the paths in the preferences so that the program "sees" the formula-files. The formulas you are seeing are the internal ones.

To get rid off the chinese text disable themes (also in the Preferences), this is a known bug. Or ignore it, usually it does not nothing worse, only displaying this weird text (other languages included as well ;-)).

Cheers

Thank you!

I see the Ini Dirs tab in Prefs now, and set the paths....now everything shows up.
Doesn't appear to be necessary to right click an m3f now, so not disabling themes for now.

BTW, is this forum the best place to ask noob questions for any of the fractal apps?
I also want to try Mandelbulber, UltraFractal, and others to see which-does-what-best.

(note: just found out UltraFractal is 2D....only want to do 3D fractals)

I'm using Windows10, ASUS GL752VW, 16GB, i7 6700HQ CPU, 2.6HZ, GTX960M GPU, and see
Mandelbulber supports OpenCL and GPU rendering...better app for animation(?).

Looking forward to diving into these infinitely interesting & cool apps and creations.  grin
