Translating tutorials to M3D 1.8.9

How do I find guidance in translating tutorials written for older versions of M3D than 1.8.9 that I am just learning?

As I feel, there are not many things than changed in  mandelbulb 3d, in some cases there are more options but the old are still there. Do you have any example giving problem to you?

Thanks for the offer. DE Accuracy is what I can't see in 1.8.9? Hal Tenny's tutorial states: "Another thing you can do for quick rendering is set the DE accuracy number (circled in red at the lower right of main window) to a lower number. I have no idea what DE accuracy is, but for quick views you can lower it. Don't go so low that it distorts the image! For this formula, 3 seems to be good. You want this number higher for final rendering! I'll go into that later."

DE accuracy replaced with Raystep multiplier and Stepwidth limiter.

Raystep multiplier and Stepwidth limiter render faster with higher values and better quality with lower values.

It might be helpful to look at these settings from some of the example parameters to see what works best.

so, short explanation:

- stepwidth limiter = the minimum distance to a surface when the raymarching stops, the smaller this is the more details come out, many occasions for overshooting
- raystep multiplier = a factor by which the raystep is multiplied, e.g. when the distance says 1 for the distance to the surface, the ray is normally increased by 1, when multipliying with a factor e.g. 0.9 just 0.9 is moved forward, this way you can fine tune rendering time and overshooting problems
