in the last time it occured to me that many things that ae discussed
here in the forum could be improved by a nice latex rendering ...
thanks to the smf guys for the great plugin

i have installed the latex plugin, you can now use latex within your forum postings,

read more about latex:
(english) http://cs.wlu.edu/~necaise/refs/latex2e/
(german) http://www.weinelt.de/latex/

you use the latex feature in postings, by using the [text][/tex] tag in your forum
posting, within that tag you can use latex syntax to define formula view, read on for examples

Code: (Example from plugin site - stress test  )
[tex]\lim_{n \to \infty}\sum_{k=1}^n \frac{1}{k^2}= \frac{\pi^2}{6}[/tex]

\lim_{n \to \infty}\sum_{k=1}^n \frac{1}{k^2}= \frac{\pi^2}{6}

Some simple examples:

Code: (Power)
[tex]z^2[/tex]

 z^2

Code: (Division)
[tex]\frac{1}{2}[/tex]

 \frac{1}{2}

Code: (Greek Letters:( :) please help to complete the alphabet)
[tex]\alpha \beta \gamma \delta \zeta \mu \eta[/tex]

\alpha \beta \gamma \delta \zeta \mu \eta \omega

Code: (Sums)
[tex]\sum_{x=0}^{\infty} x[/tex]

\sum_{x=0}^{\infty} x
