I have a 15 minute-long tutorial on my website that gives a very detailed explanation of the Mandelbrot Set, yet it can be understood by anyone with a good knowledge of middle-school math.  Please check it out and leave a comment for me on my comments page.  Thanks!

fantastic work, i'll be referencing that a lot smiley

even though it does take about ~10 minutes to get to from mathematical ground zero, it's great to have it cogently explained in one sitting; hooray for low-hanging mathematical fruit!

It is a great tutorial. I never thought the Mandelbrot Set was such a simple thing. Does anyone know where to find tutorials on the Julia set ?

Does anyone know where to find tutorials on the Julia set ?

There are quite a few written documents (.PDF, .DOC, .HTML, etc...) that teach the Julia sets.

Or were you inquiring about a video for that purpose??

Wow - this tutorial is fantastic!  I am a total noob to fractals and the mandelbrot set, having only just coming across the latter yesterday for the first time.  After reading lots of info on the internet I was thinking I would never understand such a complex subject, but your tutorial makes the theory of it all so straightforward and easy to understand.
So many thanks for making it and putting it on here.
Awesome!

I certainly think a video would be nice.

A quick search using Google, with the following keywords:
   Julia set video tutorial
Will supply several links that should be of interest.  Here is but one of them that came up:
