That was AWESOME!!  A concise and straightforward explanation that exposes some pretty amazing mathematical realities.  My respect for fractals has increased exponentially (within the confines of 1 and -2, of course).

Great video! It helped to clarify a lot about what I've been 'guessing' about fractals, and also enlightened me regarding the complexities!

I watched the tutorial and just received "The Amazing Mandelbrot Set" DVD. The tutorial alone was worth paying for; very well-done and a perfect example of how to explain a subject to almost anyone. I need some help getting MacFract to work but will ask for it on another part of this site.

Thanks, I am a newbee to this. I love playing with photoshop and manipulating photos (3 years). But am going to try and expand. Thanks for the tutorial which I will have to watch again. Mark

Thanks for the clear explanation.

BTW the page renders with some server side code: <%@LANGUAGE="JAVASCRIPT" CODEPAGE="1252"%> and the guestbook link is 404.
