Is there a limit for rendered image size - ?

Dear friends,
I can't render a large image - MB crashes each time I ask dimensions say 5000x7000. I haven't found out the exact limit yet. I am using 64-bit MB 1.06.1 under win x64 on Quad 9650 3.4 GHz with 16 GB RAM, but it occurs on other PC configurations as well (and with earlier versions as well). What should be done to enable big renders or is it impossible for some reason, or should I get more RAM?

the same thing with mac OSX/64 BIT+4 giga of ram
I don't think you should add more ram.

big should produce 15000x15000 px image.
I have to say the libs are universal-binary (for 32 and 64 bit) compiled with gcc 4.6.1.
I am not sure if it's something wrong I did or not.
A positive thing: despite this problem mandelbulber is working fine on Lion

I have tested the program ones again on Vista 64-bit and Windows 7. It's working properly on higher resolutions. Are you sure that you are running 64-bit version of program?(http://sourceforge.net/projects/mandelbulber/files/Mandelbulber%20win64%201.061-Setup.exe/download)

edit: I have tested 9000x9000 on Quad 8200 with 4GB RAM (program used 4,3 GB of memory) and 16000x16000 with -lowmem mode activated.

It was my fault > I was using a 32 bit version of mandelbulber  now I'm rendering a very big picture (15000x15000 pixel) on this mac Thanx Buddhi!
ps: I had to borrow ram from a friend 2 test this thing (just 4 gigaZ / thanx Beppe-stabelmaster)
