Latest attempt.....

https://fractrace.dev.java.net/files/documents/6137/58718/job1180606834017AABmsmpeg4v2.mpg

I'm still not happy with the transparency and refraction, also, I'm one frame short, so it skips a bit as a continuous loop.

Other than that it's a really neat fractal  smiley

That's really neat. Thankfully, I'm quite good at crossing my eyes like this, so I can see all the 3D.
Unfortunately, my Media player won't loop the animation, but that's not your fault obviously.

If you have the original frames, you may be interested in recreating the animation in the anaglyph style. This way, you could make it much bigger, and everyone could see it (at least those with the cheap 3D specs). My program Stereoptica would be good for this.

It's not an MPEG, so do not put .mpg on the end of its name.  I realize that this causes it to be opened by certain software on your computer (by lying to the computer), but when you share it with others, what will happen?  For those with problems seeing it ... change the extension to .avi and it may work.

I couldn't see the 3d effect, only 2 of the same animations next to each other

Try to cross your eyes to merge the 2 frames. It's worth trying.
