Fragments of the fractal -like the tip of it

« on: February 18, 2011, 10:12:16 AM »

See release topic. Plus released two new formulas; Lambda commutative & non-commutative. Commutative is squarry while non-commutative is roundy  grin

IF YOU ALREADY LOADED WRONG FORMULAS IN YOUR PROGRAM PLEASE LOAD AGAIN THE CORRECT VERSIONS; USE THE "OPEN" BUTTON WITH THE FOLDER SYMBOL AND THEN SELECT BARNSLEY4DC AND BARNSLEY2_4DC. ELSE YOU WILL CONTINUE TO USE THE WRONG VERSION!

SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE

Fixed another error in Lambda (commutative); the error is evident only when you use different constants for dx,dy,dz,dw; the dw constant was never read and the dz was readed twice... Now all constants are correctly readed and the sums are like they are supposed to be. wink

IF YOU ALREADY LOADED WRONG FORMULAS IN YOUR PROGRAM PLEASE LOAD AGAIN THE CORRECT VERSIONS; USE THE "OPEN" BUTTON WITH THE FOLDER SYMBOL AND THEN SELECT LAMBDA4DC. ELSE YOU WILL CONTINUE TO USE THE WRONG VERSION!

SORRY (again) FOR THE INCONVENIENCE
embarrass (But I guess this affects only the two users that downloaded the prev archive) wink

I would suggest to add a version number of some sort to each version so we know without doubt if we are using the last update.
And of course Luca, Repeating Zooming Self-Silimilar Thumb Up, by Craig thank you very much for all your effort in organizing all this beautiful mess smiley

I'm sorry for lack of precision. I was talking of the name of the file, which is always "final.zip". embarrass

No please, it's already hard deal with those formulas without name changes!  cry

Sorry for this. Really! embarrass I checked so many times but I mistaken once more. hurt

Sin4D formula computed always only sin(x) skipping y,z,w. The result was wrong, but somewhat beautiful. cheesy

So, for those who need to keep the old effect I leave the old formula here, attached in the first post. Future MB releases will not have the wrong formula again. Azn Now I will update the database.

Comment - I am wondering to make a "function collection" that computes a function of the real part only (x) leaving unchanged everything else, can be great. smiley

More than an error this is a "logic fix". Ruckerbulb as I released it before was "right handed". No fractal is like that, so when you tried to render a hybrid it came up really weird undecided

I had to switch some signs to restore the correct aspect, now it looks normal again grin
