This is a 3D cut through a 4D Menger Hypersponge. The cut goes through <0,0,0,0> with a normal of <1,1,1,1>. It was done in POVRay without any attention to beauty so far tongue stuck out

As I now see in "Related topics", its been done before. Of course. I already looked for it, did not find it and now that mine is finished it was there all along. But there are no pictures anymore. tongue stuck out

Here's my next picture. If the hypercube's extent is from <-1,-1,-1,-1> to <1,1,1,1>, this is a cut through <0.25,0.25,0.25,0.25> with normal <1,1,1,1>.



Also, I put a lot attention to the render quality and would be pleased to hear some advice how to make it even more beautiful tongue stuck out

Yes, but it is ugly, it is povray, it took ages to render and I did some post-editing.
