Inspired by Mehrdad's beautiful Mandelbox variation, I decided to fiddle with settings along those lines and see what would happen.  Well...to be honest, I don't really KNOW what happened.   I thought I'd share and see what you all thought.  The params were as follows, should you wish to see what you can do with it:

I'm attaching a few images, a couple from the "origin" and then a couple of zooms.  It reminds me of a speaker rig I saw back in the mid-90s...  The fourth one reminds me of Nevermore's debut album cover, a little bit...

I tried to gen an animation wandering through it, but it turned out ... more odd ... and not really useful. Ah, well.  Let me know what you think.
