It felt like I was seeing more of them than usual and then i heard news of a new PS plug in to explore it.
I have heard of this plug as well. It is supposed to be released on the seventh of August. I have an older version of PS so I don't know if it will work. I didn't see the system requirements, does it matter what version of PS is used?

That's the one I guess: http://www.richardrosenman.com/project/?cid=224It'll work in any version of Photoshop down to 3 or 4 as it's made with filtermeister, no worries.

After having researched Buddhabrot and learning how to program one, I might do it with some help using "Processing", maybe? Anyways. It's fascinating! Melinda Green says "Lori's web site contains some reduced examples of her work along with her writings into the mystical connections she's made between the Mandelbrot set and Buddhism. " http://www.imaging.robarts.ca/~lgardi/I downloaded the only Buddhabrot maker I could find for fun and it's for windows . Anyone know a trick or how to make one on a mac? I'm not the best programmer. I'll try though. Seems like you could do a lot of cool things just tracing where the numbers go in the complex plane. I do this on a spreadsheet but one complex number at a time.

If you have a link to the program, I'll give it a try using "Crossover" - an emulator I have on my Mac Laptoy. While it fails on many programs, it has a really good record with fractal generators (only 3 it wouldn't run that I wanted - about 8 or 10 that it works with). I also use windows, so I can compare stuffs for missing features if you want...

I looked for the original one but the links are broken. http://rr.www.cistron.nl/fract/bdb_maker.html

If you have one, give it a try anyhow. I'll see if I can find one that works

I'll see if I can find one that works Visions of Chaos ( http://softology.com.au/voc.htm ) works under Crossover! It has a Buddy-Brot feature, but it's not freeware - The trial version has no timeout, but wont export anything - no images, Animations, 3D Models, or Sounds (yup - it does all 4!) (I may break down and buy this one eventually...).

"flavor of the month" was sarcasm. I love the Digital, fractal Buddhas, they are pretty and intriguing. Plus I love Indian art of all their Buddhas. Shiva is my favorite! <Quoted Image Removed> Sorry if "flavor of the month was percieved as sarcasm. Not menat to be.. (I actually dislike sarcasm) Find it to be the lowest form of humor! No more than sockratease comment about rendering time!

I for one am hooked on the flavor of the month. In regards to "backdrops?" that's kinda what I'm trying to do with my Buddhabrot augmentations. (in my own primitive way!)

I love to research different philosophies. I am a spiritual, rahter than religious person. I do not "subscribe" to just one. That to me would be closed minded. I like thunderwave enjoy eastern art. I also enjoy seeing & creating these art forms . Not only for the asthetic value, not as a way of a visualizatrion of my spirituality. Hope this made some sense to someone/anyone?
