Hi, I'd like to Paypal $15 USD to someone who can re-create for me the fractal image seen here:
http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Time_escape_Julia_set_from_coordinate_%280.285,_0%29.jpg

I've been seeking to get in touch with Solkoll, the original author, however it seems that they've been inactive in the scene for a few years now, and have left no working contact.
Thankfully, as is said on that page:
Quote
This image has been (or is hereby) released into the public domain by its author, Solkoll at the English Wikipedia project. This applies worldwide.

In case this is not legally possible:
Solkoll grants anyone the right to use this work for any purpose, without any conditions, unless such conditions are required by law.

So, I'm looking for a very large version of the image, on transparent background, that also replicates the colours. So, exactly what is shown there, in high resolution, and on transparent background. The file format should be tiff, or some other lossless form. Resolution size ought to be 6000 pixels in height.

If someone is able to do this, I may be interested in multiple colour schemes, for which I'd pay an extra $5 each - to be decided after seeing other colour schemes. Replies can be posted here, though for more immediate attention, email me at delicieuxz*at*hotmail-dot-com, just remove asterisks of course, and adjust the rest. Cheers!

Lol! I only just checked for replies. If you'll pm or email your paypal account, I'll send you the $15 for the tiff, even though you posted the details, you still did the service  wink

Sent, cheers.

Could some tweaks be done on the fractal image before sending? I made a pic to show what the adjustments are, with the target on the right.

Those sorts of tweaks could be done much faster and with far more control in an image editor.  While adjusting the color gradient is tricky - it can likely be done in a fractal generator.  But changing the orbits (those curved lines) will have cascading effects on the rest of the image.

Take the picture into an editor and play!  The Gimp  ( http://www.gimp.org/ ) is a powerful and free one if you need one...

I'm intrigued, why do you need such perfection?

Impressive! That one appears to be spot on apart from being a bit darker coloured. Could the high res version be uploaded to mediafire or some other download service where I could grab it? I don't have a fractal program and haven't learned how to use one either way.

I'm intrigued, why do you need such perfection?

I don't need a 100% replica per say, but it's the aesthetics of the original that made me interested in a high res version, and the first example is a bit less attractive when compared side-by-side, imo.

My receiving the image file was an integral element of the commission, lol. If you could email or pm me a link of a download source, that'd be great. Even if I downloaded a trial version of Ultra Fractal and looked into how to apply the settings, the UF website says that trial version images are branded. Basic accounts at Media Fire and other file hosting services are free.  grin

Can anyone render the above UF parameters for Delicieuxz please ?
I am in holidays and did not bring my PC.
Thanks for the joint effort!
