Of course, I used distance estimation to create a height map. Choosing to show it as mountains instead of valleys wasn't the easiest way to handle camera mouvement and avoid collisions, but brings more excitement.

I decided to remaster this video because I felt there was many things I could improve.

Here the list of improvements;
1) color palette reviewed. In practice, I now give GL_BGR_EXT pixel format instead of GL_RGB to glTexImage2D method because I load bitmap file.
2) more points rendered, 2160x2160 instead of 1440x1440.
3) 30 frames per second instead of 25.
4) rectify 200 miliseconds offset between video and recording. 

At one point in the process, I look at it with hindsight and say: "This is curvy fractal compare to other 3D Fractal". I just point it out for fun.
