Stitch line on spherical camera render

Hi guys,

Me again with another question. I´ve been experimenting with spherical camera for VR content but I´ve found a strange error on the panorama rendered images. A stitch line appears and I haven´t found a method to make a seamless image. Does anyone know how can I avoid this or better yet, how to fix the already rendered images? I attach a some images with this problem.

Any help will be very appreciated.

Just tested a mb3d-pano of my own in FSPViewer (not the best but good enough for this), no stitch-line.
Questions: What viewer are you using? And have you postprocessed the image or are we seeing the image exactly as it was generated by mb3d?

I´m using GoProVR player and then I tried FSPViewer to double check, and the line is there. There seems to be a problem in the edges of the panoramic images, like a change of luminance and color. I didn´t add any post process yet, it´s coming directly from mb3d.

Just rendered this one for you to test in mb3d version 1.89. Had a look at it in your gopro viewer, seems good to me... Can you test how it looks at your side?
If this one is ok at your end there must be a prob in mb3d, I could test-render your settings if you like and you're willing to share them.

Your image is seamless and that´s what I´d like to achieve! Here´s my scene, based on the beautiful "Lenord-A Surf" parameters. You can notice a very noticeable stitch-line when a spherical camera is rendered.

Have tested here with very small renders and the difference lies in your render settings.

You can test this yourself by adjusting your rendersettings like this

except for the DE-Stop which always varies with the size you render in and also depends on the fractal and the light-settings. Though I'd say that the value you use for such a big render is far too small to be still beneficial, it only adds a lot of rendertime. A test-image of only 600x450 (1:1) I most of the times can render at a DE-Stop of 0.5. In your case I think 4 or 5 will be quite ok

PS People will probably tell you that these settings are far too high and not necessary for most renders, but they hardly ever fail me for the final render (I test with lower settings!), even not with really demanding renders. But of course, please feel free to explore and experiment!
