i have to admit that i broke the server configuration and was not aware of my fault, playing with .htaccess and leaving it without checking and forgetting is nothing i recommend

  I remembered either you or Sockratese mentioning blocking IPs being associated with that error message after getting it a bunch of times...

in fact it was a config mistake i did while configuring another forum totally unrelated to the discussed ip blocking of massive crawlers, and then i did not realize that the error message was not saying "no connection to database" but just "internal server error" so, totally my fault

I thought it might have been that bit of php and sever.conf I sent but apparently not
hope those things help, if for nothing else, for the rules.

Now, what did I want to post before the server went down?  I guess it was not important.
