Hi

If you know programming you can create your own code. But there are also many programs available on the web to design and render fractals. To start with, I would suggest one of the most popular, versatile and user-friendly: Ultrafractal. You can dowload a trial version on their website. Enjoy! smiley

All of them are "created by code" in one way or another.  Some are compiled into executable applications, ready for you to run and use.  Others are available in their original source code, written with many different programming languages to choose from.

If you are wanting source code, then there are plenty of these all over the Internet.  One place to start for such is at http://sourceforge.net/.

And most come with documentation, tutorials, examples,etc...
