Namaste!

I have a very noob question as highlighted above.

I started working with Mandelbulb 3D (though this can just as easily apply to UF or any other program, at least for me) and am quite overwhelmed by the sheer volume/kind of formulas available to work with and chain together.

Thus my overall question...

Is there some way to somehow know from the type of formula to determine with what it could potentially be paired to produce some interesting shapes (as opposed to relatively complete failures)?

For example, if I pick the "Amazing Box," looking at the remaining formulas, what would be formula types to avoid, or formulas that would be a bit more spectacular?

In messing around I've discovered that some things just simply don't work well, so I might tend to avoid those in direct combination, but, perhaps after something else those formulas might be applicable.

Hopefully that makes some sense.

hi there, if it works it works wink

you can use the "_adds" formulas to modify an existing formula, or anything you like, combining any formula with a "_rotate" yield most often interesting results

all others is try and error wink

mixing formulas of the same type allows you to get more parameters to deform an object
