The zooms spend time near the bulbs and the iteration count skyrockets.

Have any of you explored these regions?

The 'fluffier' areas of the M-set certainly aren't as popular, shame.
That's really the most FRACTAL part of the set IMHO.

Most Zoom movies stick to the spike to keep the iterations low.

My movies are fluffier than most, and this one is the most.

I had a zoom movie similar to the 1st two pictures on the 5th line of the linked gallery.
Ultra-detailed. I just couldn't get the video compressed down to a YouTube friendly amount.
IIRC it was about 30,000Kbps and YouTube compresses to 5000Kbps.
I must hunt it down and see if the newer H.264 compression deals with it better.

Stunning graphics, but the detail is so lush that I wish it was 4000X3000 pixels! I loved the palette. Did you use fractal extreme?

Yes I use Fractal Extreme exclusively.
Thanks for the comment about the palette, its a technique I developed when I used Ultra Fractal.
UF4 has the nice facility where the gradients (palettes) are editable as text.
So I created massive gradients files setting all 400 possible colour indexes supplying the values from a spreadsheet.
I missed that ability in Fractal Extreme so I inspected FX's palette files with a hex editor and wrote a
C program to convert a text file into FX's palette files.
So please don't get the idea that I'm meticulously setting each palette RGB value one by one 
Its quite an automated process based on a sample of the colour cube.
Sorted into a sequence based on the top bits of each RGB value.
Sub-sorted using a different sequence for the each of the other bits.
So the overall sequence may be White, Magenta, Red, Yellow, Green, Cyan, Blue and Black.
But within the White colours, the blackest white is sorted first, the Magentaest white sorted last.
This avoids nasty colour discontinuities.

There is another kind of infinities' shore: Deep into a cusp of a spiral valley. You can even go into a cusp of a bulb deep in a cusp for a double spiral mania.
