opening a photo

I may have asked this before but I don' think I ever got an answer.  I'm using Ultra Fractal 5.4 Creative edition and learning as I go.  When I try to open a photo or other image, I get a white screen with a bunch of gibberish computer language  on the borders.  Can someone tell me how to open a photo?

Hi and welcome to the forums   

You don't actually open images in UF.  You use the "image" coloring method - I think it's a .ucl file.

Use the "browse" feature and seek it.  I hardly ever use Ultra Fractal so don't quite recall the specifics - if that's not enough information, post again and maybe more help will be forthcoming.

This is what I am trying to do.  See screen shot.  When I do it I get a white screen with computer gibberish  on the left side, going down.
