3d tunnel/tube fractal effect

Hey there folks. I'm familiar with Apophysis and have started using Mandelbulb 3d. I'm looking for pointers on an effect similar to this:

That is, any sort of tunnel/tube shape, not necessarily identical to the video but the same idea. Any tips towards a formula or approach would help greatly.

Hi and Welcome to the forums! There are so many combinations that have tunnels, that I don't know where to start. Just experiment and you'll find one soon. Here's a quick one with a Mandelbox and Fold Int Pwr. Fiddle with the Julia parameters if you need wider or smaller tunnels.

You can even change variables when you "cruise" through a tunnel and make it smaller while you travel
