Hi folks!

I cannot remember exactly when I first heard the term fractals, but I remember that I around 1987-88 read an article about the Mandelbrot set in a scandinavian computer magazine.  The article also contained the printout of a BASIC program that displayed the Mandelbrot set.  I typed in the program on my Commodore 128, a 8-bit computer with a 2 MHz processor.  I can remember that it took "forever" to run the program, but when it finally completed, it displayed the Mandelbrot set in all its glory.

Since then, I've experimented with the Mandelbrot set from time to time, in different programming languages and on different platforms.  My current implementation is written in Java, and I plan to port it to Objective-C for the Mac and the iPhone.

Best regards,
