Hey everyone. I have played around with Fractals a little bit before but am wanting to get serious with them now. So I am hoping to learn a lot from you all, I hope you don't mind. Thanks in advance for your help.

Hello and Welcome to the forums!

Feel free to post some of your images, or just discuss whatever software you are using as a way to get started.

Right now the recently discovered Mandelbulb is dominating the forum, but all Fractal related discussion and posts are welcome   afro

Welcome! Also, the Amazing Fractal, or Mandelbox, is another pretty popular fractal.  afro The best of fractals to you!

Someday, man will understand primary theory; how every aspect of our universe has come about. Then we will describe all of physics, build a complete understanding of genetic engineering, catalog all planets, and find intelligent life. And then we'll just puzzle over fractals for eternity.

Greetings, and Welcome to this particular Forum !!!    smiley

Which fractal rendering applications have you used, and do you happen to have any fractal images available online for us to view ??

And do not worry about which fractal type is currently popular in these Boards, some individuals just become a bit single-minded at times and want everybody doing similar images.    evil   Almost all fractal related topics are received willingly, and cordially permitted.

Thanks for the welcome. I have in the past used Tierazon, Sterling2 and Fractal Explorer which I will still use, but recently I have added to the arsenal Chaoscope, Ultra Fractal, Xaos, Apophysis 2.08 & 2.09 and I just downloaded Mandelbulber yesterday and in just a few minutes had an awesome fractal box going. Took a few to get the camera under control but with a little practice I think I am going to like it. I am going to upload a couple images that I have created in the past day or 2. Nothing compared to some I have seen but I like them and hope you all will also.

Looking forward to seeing your latest creations.  And yes, there are many programs to choose from out there, but you definitely have been playing with some of the most popular.

Not sure what kind of system you have, but you might wish to give Mandelbulbview a try.  There are links in this forum, or just look for it on SourceForge.
