Color changes can easily(?) be applied to a Big Render, but lighting changes are a problem.
I say 'easily(?)' because you have to open all your big render tiles in MB3D, then apply the color change you want to each tile, save each tile, then assemble the tiles into the finished image in your program of choice. You do not have to re-render to make color changes.
Because the color is the same across each tile, you can do this, but a lighting effect is ALSO the same across EACH tile, which makes changing lighting a problem.
Because lighting applies to the whole scene at once, and varies 'across' the ENTIRE scene, it is hard to apply a light change to each big render tile, and then have them assemble into a convincing image, as you can do with color.
For color, you can just change the color to, say 'map 20' for each tile, and they will assemble into a coherent image. But you can't just apply the same lighting effects to each big render tile, because the lighting effect effect will be the same on all tiles, and it will look odd when assembled, a kind of 'checkerboard' look.
The only way to change lighting on a big render is to re-render, while color can be changed without having to re-render.
