One of the most beautiful sights in nature. Can it really be defined as a fractal though?

When it first supernoved in 1054 it released as much light as an entire galaxy and was visible in the day light for 3 weeks. I hope Betelgeuse explodes in our lifetime, at 6 times closer to us it's going to be a hell of a sight!

Can it really be not fractal? it has strong signs of self-similarity and it originates in a (non-linear) dynamic process. so it is at least chaotic. for me as a visual human it looks quite fractal even though i can't number its fractal dimension. maybe smething around 2.2?

It does look like something made with apophysis. Fractals don't always look like fractals.
