Another kaleidoscope created with FractalWorks and ScopeWorks.

FractalWorks is my fractal rendering program for Macintoshes. It can create 3D height maps of Mandelbrot and Julia set fractals, rendered with directional lighting.

ScopeWorks is a kaleidoscope program that can take any image file (or a video feed) as input, and generates either still kaleidoscopes or live animations.

This image is a Mandelbrot set fractal rendered in 3D, then turned into a kaleidoscope. I liked the way it turned out. I thought it looked a bit like a psychedelic shield. Thus the name.
