Well, rendering fractals surely creates a lot of heat on my PC, so that means an increase in entropy. If fractals are infinitely ordered, their entropy should be zero. The problem is defining the initial state of a fractal. If the initial state is total chaos, the change in entropy would be infinite. So to create the perfect fractal, we would need infinite entropy from an external system. This implies that creating fractals is a reversible process, because a change in entropy can never be <0 and only reaches zero if a process is reversible. So that means the 2nd law of thermodynamics is still valid. The 3rd law states that the entropy of a system is minimal at T= 0 K and would be 0 for a perfect crystal. This implies that the perfect fractal is the perfect crystal and that the perfect fractal can only exist at T = 0 K.

Since we are creating fractals by iteration and our iterations are finite, the perfect fractal cannot be created. This means that al our efforts require finite entropy changes which can be supplied by increasing the entropy of another system, i.e. our computer and ultimately the universe. Therefore, no thermodynamic laws are broken and fractals are entirely safe. QED.
