i solely as admin decided that locking of the corresponding board-topics generated by special sections in the gallery does not make sense anymore
experience have showed, that commenting function of the gallery is not enough to deeply discuss an image regard that backlinking to post-topics
wasnt available
, in the beginning of this forum i thought it would make sense to lead discussions directly to the gallery image, in a one way method
but i recently discovered an option in the gallery that allowed backlinking of the boards where the image gotten published in the board, so fyi this is
now enabled for all images creating "new topics" in the board, consider that images uploaded to your own gallery do not create those board entries, i
hope this will be solved with a "recent images" plugin for the forum to divide "images" from "discussion"
beside of that the forum itself isnt well organized and i am now starting to develop a "keyword navigation" for it, meaning i try to get rid of the neccessarity to create an
abstract structure via categories, and i want to use self organization in the navigation, and my first attempt will now be to use the keywords as categories, when selecting
a keyword e.g. via
http://www.fractalforums.com/index.php?action=gallery;sa=search2;key=ULTRAFRACTAL,
i will now generate a list of keywords contained within all the resulting images, like a tag cloud... but simply as the category listing replacement....
