Fractal map of possibilities

And I found it very interesting.
It looks to me like fractals can be sort of like a mapping of all possibilities starting with a given situation.
This shares some characteristics with a fractal.
Each point is highly dependent on the one before it.
You have a starting place but no end.
The starting place is your given situation, then there are branches off of that for what could happen next.
For each one of those branches there are more branches, each representing anything that is possible at that moment.
Some branches will end up meeting each other in the same point.
For example say you are currently on "point 1" and you have "path a" or "path b" to choose from as possibilities.
Path a will lead you straight to "point 2".
Path b leads you to "point 3".
One of the branches of possibility off of point 3 leads you to point 2.
Path b was sort of like a detour to get to the same outcome, just with some different things happening in between.
