"How to make an animation"

This would be a great location for a tutorial of how skilled users have made animations using Muldelbuld3d. It would find very useful, and a place where new uses like me could ask some question on this subject.

I'm sure there are few animation experts in this forum, willing to share their expertise, and more importantly would be willing to make a u tube video, illustrating their technique(s).

Hello,
you would just have to add these two as keyframes, choose the linear interpolation to reach the keyframes as endpoints, and insert the number of subframes to the first keyframe. Set the number of subframes of the second keyframe to 1.
Now you can start rendering the frames with the selected output format.
Use a program like virtualdub to make a movie out of the frames.

Thanks for responding to my post. The attached pic shows the error I get, on a trial run.
Using your default formula, I did the following:

1. Calculate 3d the default formula, inserted the actual formula into the 1st key frame
2. Kept the default frames 50, for the 1st key frame
3  Calculate 3d the default formula, at Integer power 6
4. Inserted the 2st key frame, set frames 1
5. Set sub frame Interpolation: Linear
6. Chose .jpg output
7. Clicked: Start rendering animation images

clearly I'm misinterpreting your instructions ....help!

You are not misinterpreting, choose an output folder you have write access to.
It seems you want to write the files to the zip archive or so. 
You have also to unzip all files, don't start m3d directly from the archive because you would not have acces to all formulas!

And also read the textfile in the archive for some basic informations

Interesting problem: I don't know if this is a Windows 7 issue only.

Clearly the Mandelbulb3Dv1694.zip file extracts to a main folder, Mandelbulb3Dv1694, 2 sub-folders,
M3Formulas, M3Parameter, and 2 files, Mandelbulb3D.exe & Mandelbulb3DReadme.txt

So regardless of where one chooses to install the program:
d:\Mandelbulb3Dv1691\ or e:\Mandelbulb3Dv1691\ for example
when I run the animation maker, the default output folder will always shows: C:\Downloads\Mandelbulb3Dv1691\
and that's why the error occurs when the Start rendering Animation images btn. is pushed.

If I change the output folder to another location the .jpg's will render, and I don't get an error.

can anyone confirm the following:

you must use the output folder btn. and maneuver to the desired output dir. for the animation to proceed,
simply typing in the desired location will cause the animation to crash!

Hi tomot,

m3d makes an ini file in the local application folder of the user, there will be stored also the default directories.
On first start it uses the programs directory as default for some folders, so you see this folder also on later attempts.
But you can change the default directories if you press on the 'INI DIRS' button, so you have some good starting points of the animation output.
