I'd like to know what other interests people on this forum have besides fractals...

Do you use any other forums regularly?
Do you have a favourite website?
What also interests you? art, astronomy, history?
Do you have any hobby projects?
Do you have any of your own web pages or blogs?

Cool topic!

Other art:
Music: Flute & sax (aka Audio fractals)
Painting: Mostly painting Fractals & patterns

Other Interests:
General reading about science of all types (biology, astronomy, physics, etc.)
Geometry (platonic, n-dimensional & of course fractal)
Jazz Music: Coltrane, Sun-Ra, Rahsaan Roland Kirk, Charlie Parker, Eric Dolphy ...

Website: just a bunch of random stuff and a big section on fractals
http://www.miqel.com
http://www.miqel.com/fractals_math_patterns/visual_math_varieties.html

Fave TV show of all time:
Mystery Science Theater 3000 (MST3Kinfo.com is the only other forum I participate in regularly)

Job: Website design, Flash-based business or sales presentations and SEO

Fractal Paintings
"Mandelbrot Horizon" Acrylic on particle board

"Quasi Mandelbrot variation"

I also run a myspace page for the eccentric & under-appreciated artist Paul Laffoley,
who often includes fractals in his visionary paintings. Beautiful works!

"Mellonchron" 1985 - 73.5 x 73.5 in. Oil, Acrylic and hand-placed vinyl lettering.

1) 3d-board.de and renderosity.com
2) fractalforums.com
3) currently trying some 3D rendering in Poser, Vue 9 and Carrara 8.

I have to admit though that I seldom stick to new hobbies for more than a year.

some quick fun with Poser faces:

I don't frequent the interblag very often, just to check out this forum mostly.

I like to read(about everything).  In fact I just finished a condensed version of the quadrivium.

For a hobby I collect old books.

I'm in 4 advanced placement classes, so I am usually quite tired.

P.S
Congratulations to Sockratease on his upcoming nuptials. A Beer Cup

I'm a classic nerdy geek so apart from programming and fractalling my other interests are mainly reading and watching TV and films - reading generally sci-fi/fantasy (e.g. The Wheel of Time, Chronicles of Thomas Covenant, Dune, The Mote in God's Eye, Aeon, Eternity, Heliconia, actually probably over 400 sci-fi books/book series) TV/Films - sci-fi, fantasy, comedy and detective/mystery.
Also I like real ale e.g. Old Roger(really a barley wine), Three Tuns Ale, Alba, Ebulum, Erdinger etc. and good food - I'm a pretty good cook/chef when I get time wink

Nice idea for a topic Tom!

The problem is that I'm interested in  many things. That creates another problem and that is the fact that there are too little hours in a day. And quite a lot of them are consumed by work. Or travelling to and fro... A thing I will never give up (well, at least as long as I pass my medicals...) is gliding

(This is not me by the way  wink), which I have been doing for more then 25 years. There's one other forum I frequent regularly and that is, not surprisingly, a glider pilot forum grin

In between gliding (summer) and mistreating M3D (winter), I also like to occasionally deform precious metals into stuff that looks shiny.

My main hobby project is trying to keep up with Dutch (and f**king European) legislation around my glider and my glider pilot licenses and buying loads of useless and expensive equipment that I don't but they do want in my cockpit as well as completely rewriting my maintenance programs every 2 years because some awesome dude in Brussels thinks that  aircraft safety is directly proportional to the amount of paper that is generated every year (if you think you hear a little frustration in this statement, there may be some truth in that perception...).

I do have my own website, actually my own domain, but since it's not related to fractal art in any way, I'm sure it is of no interest whatsoever to anyone who'se reading this post  cheesy

Wow, gliding must be awesome... though the one in the picture kind of looks like it is going to crash!

Trifox, break dancing! I hope you've watched the movies breakin', and breakin' 2 electric boogaloo.

David, I like the classic sci-fi too, have you read 'dragon's egg' that was good.
