Mandelbulb for Mac.

Hello there,

Iam new here and new in fractal but i have some questions already. The search function didn't made me much smarter so i hope somebody can help me.

I just found an amazing video created with Mandelbulb 3D.
Iam wondering were i can find Mandlebulb 3D for mac because i only found .exe files wich i cant run..

If it can't be run on mac, wich program do you suggest to use?

I would love to play around and create abstract stuff to put in my mixedmedia videos, please help me.

I run Mandelbulb 3D on my Mac using Crossover - which is a fancy version of WINE - a free WINdows Emulator.  I never used WINE, and my employer bought me Crossover from here:  http://www.codeweavers.com/products/cxmac/download_trial/  but if you're savvy, I hear WINE is easy to install and run on OSX.  I just never had need to try.

That's a link to a 30 day trial.  Buying it is $40, and I think it's worth it!  It runs many of my favorite fractal generators on my mac with no problems.  It has trouble with only a few - can't run Chaoscope or Mutatorkammer, but can run Chaos Pro, Ultra Fractal, Xenodream, and more!

Also since Ultra Fractal is now available as a beta in native OSX format you can use my UF formula for 'bulbs and 'boxes natively in UF for Mac:

Note that some of the posts (and uprs in posts) in the above thread are out of date but the first post in the thread is correct.

However at the moment I think the current beta runs out at the end of either February or March and still has some additions necessary before a full release e.g. I think the help on mouse hovering over parameters is not functioning yet.
