Hi!
I am from Munich, and have been interested in fractals for a long time, as well as the demoscene, music visualizations (plus games like Audiosurf or Beat Hazard), and computer generated art in general. After I saw the Mandelbulb somewhere, I decided to write a DirectX program to explore it a bit. Since figuring out a reasonably fast Mandelbulb distance estimation was quite a challenge, I wanted to do things a little more efficiently for the Mandelbox, and while googling, I found a good distance estimation somewhere in this forum which (after some modifications) is now fast enough for realtime exploration. So, yeah... I guess I will post some of the things I am going to discover in this forum!

So anyway, Greetings!
Teraflop.

Hello from Munich here as well (Obergiesing). I am a TUM graduate of 2001.
My "teraflop" is right at home in the form of several CUDA graphics cards.
I did Buddhabrots and realtime Mandelbulbs in CUDA.

Hello and welcome.

Should you ever care for a meet-up, I'll be happy to share what I know about fractals and DE.

Hello and Welcome to the forum!

Always nice to see more folks working on Mandelbulb Software.

I hope to get a chance to play with your program when it's ready for the public  afro

Nice to see two other people from Munich here smiley I graduated recently and am now starting a PhD. Currently I am in a Wohnheim in Großhadern, but will have to move soon to some other location in the Munich area. I think a meetup would be a great idea, we should arrange something.

As for my program (Mandelflyer), well it's not really ready for public, but I uploaded it anyway, and opened a new thread for it:
