Do you use more than one program to create an image or animation?

I always follow up with Photoshop, to adjust contrast and color balance and such, at least.  Sometimes I process an image more (adding embossing effects, for example) to acheive a certain effect.  I tend to process 2D fractals more than 3D.

I nearly always only ever use a single application to create a single image. Earlier this year I only used my own application mdz which is limited to the traditional banded colouring method of displaying the Mandelbrot (and only the Mandelbrot) set.

At this moment I'm quite into Mandelbulber and particularly the Mandelbox fractal. As far as post-processing goes, I tend to limit myself to those processes which require some knowledge of the rendered image beyond the colour of the pixels - so for instance I don't think you could do depth of field processing in The Gimp (or Photoshop) as easily as within Mandelbulber itself.

I only use one program unless the importance of fractals to the context and/or subject of the image is minor.

I use Photoshop for color, sizing, and well making fractals.  I like to mix and match rarely.  Most times I just stick with one app.

I've found that no single program is sufficient.  Especially for animation!

This took 6 programs, but I just *LOVE* the result:

Most of my buddhabrots were layered with Fractal Explorer.

Right now I'm seeing if I can take an image from another program & make a kaleidoscope with Chaospro animation.
