'evolutionary residue' is the name of one of my latest fractal images (http://j-diche.deviantart.com/#/d2t49jw) based off the koch curve. It is made to resemble the replication fork of the DNA replication process. The image itself has many layers and even with a few transforms over 7 minutes of animation took 81hours to render. Can be viewed at 720p!
