This is a 3D Mandelbrot set rendered in FractalWorks.

I got the coordinates from Ingvar Kullberg, in his "Chaotic series of fractal articles." This is his "SeahorseBarrier3"

This is pretty nice smiley

Thanks Duncan for drawing it smiley Sorry I'have not been here that very much sad

BTW, Stig Petterson has new wonderful formulas, Hexic an Heptic parameter spaces. All his formulas, as well as mine are included in the zip,

Recarding Hexics an Heptics, see my journals,

Some mysteries in Heptics are described in

Take care everyone and keep up the good work smiley

@Duncan C: Cool image! I love it!

@Fractal Monster: Those hexic and heptic formulas sound fascinating. Have you considered also slicing through the Julibrot versions of these polynomials? That is, using the initial value of z as another complex parameter and slicing through it as well? I would be curious what it would look like..  smiley

Someday, man will understand primary theory; how every aspect of our universe has come about. Then we will describe all of physics, build a complete understanding of genetic engineering, catalog all planets, and find intelligent life. And then we'll just puzzle over fractals for eternity.
