seems like most of its weird features come from quantization error, and it doesn't get very intricate in higher resolution:

now made a version without quantization error but clamping z.x and z.y to -5...+5 range (20 iterations)



pretty boring anyway.

Interesting arachnid form with those "legs" and "mandibles".
