This site has a lot of pretty gems, many of them with a fractal-y character.

For instance:

White parts are real, black parts are imaginary. I assume it's done with a linear double-cover where numbers with a phase of 0 and π are white, ±π/2 is black and all the others are just extrapolated.

Somebody (not the author of that blog) was fascinated by these and made an animation. It's on g+ and technically on YT but I didn't find a away to get to the actual video link, unfortunately. Maybe the forum knows what to do with it anyway. If so, there will be a video below. If not, it'll merely be a link to a video. Regardless, enjoy:
