The Trouble with von Koch Curves Built from n-gons

The Mathematical Association of America's February 2010 edition of "The American Mathematical Monthly", has several topics that might be of interest:

But the one concerning von Koch Curves seems to be the most pertinent for this Forum.  It is only a short paragraph on the above link, since one must be a member to view the whole topic.

A version of the von Koch paper (early? modified?) can be found at Tamas Keleti's web site:

It's a professional math paper, long on proofs, but it contains a few images and the gist is not too hard to pick up.
