Thanks... / I have tried getting into the "thicket", but I am having problems adjusting the speed correctly, and it also hard finding camera paths that lead back out again. I constantly seem to find "dead ends"  huh?

There are of course many dead ends. Imagine a 2D world and that you navigate in the 2D M-set between the filaments closer and closer to the border: you will always find a dead end, but also many bifurcations, and potentially an infinite path if you reduce the travelling distance. As we are now in 3D, there are actually exits, but not always easy to identify. See this video that zooms between the folds near the surface. You will notice that at the end, there are "windows" that escape from the apparently dead end.

Btw, very cool vid as I commented on Youtube wink

But do you have to find a way out? Wold be great as an ending?
I try to explain what I mean in the "beatuy of the interior of a minibulb"-thread,
Just ( wink ) end the movie zooming in to details, camera slowing down all the time, getting closer and closer to details of details...

I just wondered, what is the artist of the song that accompanies your vid?

Ahhh... sound on youtube is such a minefield. I have just picked some of you tubes standard music, as there is less chance of getting an infringement notice. I first tried to put some more or less free music, which naturally was in ogg format, but the video encoder never managed to sync that properly.

The audioswap feature is currently unavailable on youtube, so I can't retrieve the proper name at the moment .... but I will make an edit and post it here once I can find it.
