Texture Mapping 2D Fractals onto 3D Surfaces

In this short I texture mapped frames from a 2D fractal movie I had made earlier onto the surfaces of a typical 3D model, then animated the model.  The 2D fractal movie uses a derived escape time equation.

The video is about a coal miner who is somewhat peeved about dying in an explosion because the mining company ignored safety constraints and both the state and the union failed to enforce them.
