May a trochoid of ¥h¶h iteratively entrain your Logos Response transforming into iridescent fractals of orgasmic delight and joy, with kindness, peace and gratitude at all scales within your experience. I beg of you to enrich others as you have been enriched, in vorticose pulsations of extravagance!

You did not say which program this was from. There are several he has written for Mac.

QuaSZ. Really nice to play with. Trialling it. He will be making the newer version available soon. You may wish to keep an eye open for that next version, since it will have the Mandelbulb formula built into the application.

managed to code twinbees cut down version as per krag. This is result for bail out 61 12 iterations and .001 asreally small value. I think it shows up the trial versions limited plot density, but it is very impressive. the one below has bailout 6.

Look at this puppy at bailout 20! Iteration 3 There are many interesting objects that can come from the various formulas and parameter settings using QuaSZ. Have you played with the different palettes and textures yet?? Also, if you wish to see some of my early explorations using this program, then try this location: http://www.nahee.com/Fractals/QuaSZ/index.html

a colibri ? with a hat ? Is that colibrí ?? The Spanish word for hummingbird ?? But it looks more like a embedded funnel than a hat.

another wierd creature! You have been finding some interesting shapes, that is for sure. Are you using your own formulas or the built-in ones with your own settings ??

i am using a formula derived from twinbees formula. My problem is it gives me these creatures and not the mandelbulb! lol! However this is because i am not used to quad math yet. As someone else said the mistakes are often more interesting. I have just produced the following on macorbits trial using z=z+c^2. I find terry's programmes so intuitive and helpful to find out what is going on. This is a 2d julia by the way, it won't generate a 3d on this programme.

i am using a formula derived from twinbees formula. My problem is it gives me these creatures and not the mandelbulb! While speaking with Terry the other day, it appears he may not be updating the Mac programs anymore. It appears there is not enough interest for fractal applications that are designed for the Mac. And this means that the Mandelbulb formulas will not be inserted into the Mac versions. I have just produced the following on MacOrbits trial using z=z+c^2. I find terry's programmes so intuitive and helpful to find out what is going on. Are you able to run the Windows versions in a virtual PC under your Mac system?? If so, you might wish to download those Trials for experimenting with. I know that he has now added the Mandelbulb formulas to at least three of his Windows applications.

I hope to upgrade to an intel mac soon. But i did mention to terry about getting on fractalforum and promoting his work himself. At the moment i am extremely grteful that he took time out to develop mac versions, which surely must give him good pr in the mac community and hopefully boost his overall sales in windows format. I have just worked out how to do a 2d slice of a mandlebrot extrusion in 3d. Because of the fast renders you can experiment very quickly. The programme is ace.
