Temple of Infinite Possibility (Portrait of Amber)

Temple of Infinite Possibility (Portrait of Amber)
Oil on Canvas, 20" x 20" Oct 11, 2015
While the general idea that the cranium acts as the "Temple  of Infinite Possibility", here I have chosen to use my daughter Amber to depict the phenomena. Between the cranial walls that surround your head, lies the passport to all possibilities. The human mind is capable of remarkable and incredible things, do not ever sell yourself short. This painting is remarkably different from all my others while being amazingly the same. To read why, and understand the thought behind the work and its meaning, please visit the picture page here;

This justifies my lobbying for Fractal Hats to have been a category in last year's contest!

I knew I wasn't the only one.

Nice hat!  Reminds me of some overly rococo samurai armor.

Very well done.

Ha!!!, fractal hats indeed......My mother saw the image in early stages and said it looked like a Thai headdress. Maybe hats should be a category  cheesy

I wont sully this great image with the one I submitted to offer up the idea of a Hats category  (but it's HERE if anybody is brave enough to look  tease )

Actually though, my throw away idea turned out to be chosen and was one of the most successful ideas so far  ("Black and White" was my fault).

But being one to never argue with a mother - I guess it does look more like a Thai Headdress than Rococo Samurai armor.  Certainly a more peaceful analogy than mine!
