Hi, Few years ago when I started interest in fractals I wrote few line in Pascal language for generate the logistic map. During the years program became more and more complicated. I used it under the compiler and I was happy with that. After I posted some of my images in this forum I was asked to share my software, so I made it more user friendly, write some pages for instructions to it and now you can download it from the attachment below. Bifurcation Fractal Plotter can calculate 19 different type of chaotic systems including simulation of two physical systems: double pendulum and bouncing ball on twin-slopes. It can handle up to 20 processor cores and can generate images with almost unlimited resolution. After tested it during 4 days and then publicated one bug found.  Fixed it and updated link and attachment, please delete previous version if you downloaded. |

Zoom bugs fixed. Sorry for that! Please download the new version from attachment! But now zooming is more comfortable, so it made sense transforming algorithms. Chillheimer: Your welcome. Waiting for your pictures! |

Feel free to use, it works properly! Just select a fractal, set r and x ranges and go on! After that set Zoom mode in the first line of input .txt file, restart program and type the four coordinates of selected area from IrfanView window header.  I use this arrangment:  |

Generating BMP images is 3 times faster now. Updated the attachment to v51.

Image generation is more 2.5 times faster. Now it reaches 0.27 Mpixel/s with my HDD (7400 rpm). Maybe it's acceptable now...
(The whole problem come from pascal don't buffering data before write to disc. First I wrote 1 byte at a time, then 3 bytes, now 8 bytes.)

The only inconsistency which still left in it that Recolor picture and Merge parts functions are accessible only in Normal mode, not in Zoom mode. I left it out from the Instructions...

sorry bkercso! I've been offline a few days, festival-time and then the neural-dreaming tool has my total focus right now as the results are so overwhelmingly cool.. but I haven't forgotten and will definitely get back to this! |
