Found this nice piece about framerates, resolution, depth, focus, noise, grainy stuff, film, video game ... well too much to name, you should read it. This has some implications for our desire to have super-sharp fractal (zoom) videos. Might also explains why people use effects and filters to make digital content more realistic (read: more noisy, blurred, darkened, etc).
